Crash is the simplest game on the casino floor. A multiplier starts at 1.00x and climbs. At a random moment it busts and the round is over. Place a bet during the countdown, then press Cash out before the bust and you win your bet times the multiplier at that instant. Wait one beat too long and the whole stake is gone. The bust point is 0.99 ÷ (1 − r) where r is a uniform random number, floored to the cent, with a floor of 1.00x and a ceiling of 1,000x. That means the chance the round reaches any multiplier x is exactly 0.99 ÷ x: a 2x round happens 49.5% of the time, a 10x round 9.9%, a 100x round about once in a hundred. About one round in a hundred busts instantly at 1.00x. Cashing out at any target returns 99 cents per dollar over the long run, so the house edge is 1% and it is the same at every target. The multiplier climbs as e0.00006 · ms: about 11.5 seconds to 2x and 38 seconds to 10x.
Every round draws a random 32-byte seed before betting opens. While the round runs, the strip under the graph shows the seed's SHA-256 hash. After the bust it shows the seed itself. The bust point is computed from the first 52 bits of that seed, so you can confirm the hash matches and recompute the multiplier: the outcome was fixed before you bet and could not be changed afterward.
