Yes, UNO has official scoring — first to 500 across hands, with card values almost nobody knows. A running scorecard for six players with the values printed beside it.

Most households play UNO as single hands: someone goes out, everyone groans, re-deal. The official game is better — a race to 500 points across multiple hands, which turns "I had two cards left!" into something that actually matters.
Seven cards each; match the discard pile by colour, number or symbol. Action cards do what they say — Draw Two, Skip, Reverse — wilds change the colour, and Wild Draw Four is only legal when you can't match the colour. One card left? Say "UNO" before your next player acts, or draw two when caught.
When someone goes out, they score everyone else's cards: face value for numbers, 20 for each Draw Two, Skip and Reverse, 50 for each Wild and Wild Draw Four. Sitting on wilds too long is how you hand the leader fifty points at a time.
The official variant on the sheet flips it: each player scores their own remaining cards as minus points, and when someone crosses 500, the lowest total wins. Slower, gentler, and better with kids — agree which way before the first deal.
What's a Wild worth? Fifty points to whoever catches you holding it.
What happens if you forget to call UNO? If another player catches you before the next player acts, you draw two.
How long does a game to 500 take? Usually four to eight hands, depending on how the wilds fall.
